Love your neighbor as yourselves . . .

The people of Holy Apostles take their baptismal vows to “seek and serve Christ in all persons” and ”to promote the dignity and worth of every human loving their neighbor as their selves,” very seriously.  They do this by serving in these ministries of service.

Habitat for Humanity: This summer, members of Holy Apostles joined the St. Croix Valley faith team to help build a multi-family housing complex in Woodbury.  We also provided a delicious lunch for the crew, one day.

Fields to Families: Summer of 2011, we started the“Fields to Families” project. We have delivered nearly 23,000 pounds of fresh produce to three food shelves in St. Paul, Stillwater, and River Falls.  The produce was grown by Hmong farmers who attend Holy Apostles in St. Paul, and supported by a member of Ascension, Stillwater.

Merrick Food Shelf:  Holy Apostles makes monthly contributions of both food and cash to support this program which serves Eastside families.

Project Home:  Volunteers from Holy Apostles serve guests and their children at this shelter for homeless families housed in St. Paul churches.

Community School of Excellence: Holy Apostles entered into a partnership with Community School of Excellence, a Hmong language and culture  charter school in St Paul.  Members of Holy Apostles tutor students, serve on the board, and collect supplies, clothing, and money to support low income students.
